Kani tribe

Kani is a nomadic tribe in Kerala, India.[1] They were known for familiarizing Kallana, allegedly a cryptid elephant and a herbal medicine known as jeevani.[2] The medicinal properties of the plant called Arogyapacha (Trichopus zeylanicus) was also discovered through them.
